An invitation for a Nanotechnology Training
Dear Prospective Nanotechnology Training Participant,
According to the National Science Foundation, Nanotechnology is one of the highest growth sectors in the United States, creating more than 2 million jobs by the year 2015. Many positions in Nanotechnology will be in demand, including jobs for researchers, scientists, engineers, technicians, managers, and consultants.
The Business Re-engineering course offered by the Applied Technology Training Center, a division of the Economic Development and Corporate Training of the San Bernardino Community College District in cooperation with the California Institute of Nanotechnology provides a broad overview of the opportunities, applications and legal ramifications of this emerging technology. Participants in this training module will learn what it takes to launch a start-up enterprise in nanotech, the environmental health and safety implications of Nanotechnology and where the job opportunities lie within this rapidly growing segment of the tech sector.
A more advanced training, the Train-the-Trainer course, offers an overview of nanoscience, market trends and environmental concerns within the emerging technology, as well as insight into nanomaterials characterization, applications of surfaces and thin films, carbon nanotube properties, micro- and nano-fabrication and nanobiotechnology and nanomedicine. Participants in this course will also participate in a Nanotech Lab tour at the University of California - Riverside.
Both courses offer participants the opportunity to add another level of training to their resumes, make important business connections and begin to re-engineer their careers for the job market demands of tomorrow. There is no cost to attend. Training is paid for by a grant from the Economic and Workforce Development Division of the California Community Colleges System Office.
The next sessions start on November 10 - 14, 2008 and seats are limited. We are inviting you, your staff and your technical clients/associates, who may have an interest in NANO-Knowledge to attend our training programs. I have attached a copy of the flyer and registration form for your consideration:
If you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to let me know.
